The Canterbury West Coast Air Rescue Trust administers a professional air rescue and air ambulance service utilising the Westpac Rescue Helicopter, Solid Energy Rescue Helicopter and New Zealand Flying Doctor Service aircraft, supported by highly trained personnel for the treatment and recovery of people needing urgent medical care and attention .
