Barry Bragg
Director
Barry has been a Trustee on the Canterbury West Coast Air Rescue Trust since 2002 and was a Director of Air Rescue Services until end of June 2024. He is currently Chair of Pegasus Health Charitable Limited, Lyttelton Port Company Limited and Quarry Capital Limited, is a Trustee of the NZ Flying Doctors Service and holds directorships in several organisations.
Murray Weakley
Director
Murray Weakley has worked as a partner in the national law firm, Anthony Harper, for over 30 years. After retiring from the practice, Murray became a trustee and took over as Chair of The Otautahi Education Development Trust in 2023. His legal practice included property, local government, trust and banking work, advising both private clients, and local authorities, council controlled trading organisations, trading banks, polytechnics, major hotel and other commercial property owners, corporate trading entities, and charitable trusts.
Murray was appointed as a director of Air Rescue Services Limited in mid 2024.
He is also a trustee of Canterbury West Coast Air Rescue Trust and New Zealand Flying Doctor Trust.
Barry Steans
Managing Director
Barry Steans is a Canterbury-based businessman with over 15 years experience in the Hospitality Industry. Barry was appointed a Director of Air Rescue Services on 5th February 2002 and later accepted the role of Managing Director for the company.
Barry has over 25 years of experience in the gaming industry.
Grants Committee
The Grants Committee consists of the three Directors above and the General Manager, Vicki Steans.
Conflicts of Interest
The Grants Committee members declare on a grant-by-grant basis any conflicts of interest, and these are noted in the minutes of each meeting.
